What is it about being crafty that scares off some women? Is
it the fact that we didn’t like sitting long enough as teenagers or kids to
work on them , or because we played sports we’re not girlie enough for them, or
are we too lazy to even try so we say we’re no good at them? Whatever the excuse I was one of the pack shouting
from the streets “I’m not crafty!”
Two months ago I was invited to a craft night with some gals
on the block. I hesitated to go because
again “I’m not crafty,” but I realized Kurt would be at a scout camp that night
and it would be an easy way to divert me from missing him.
I did have a lovely time and while my project was very dinky
and simple my toes had gotten wet in the craft ocean. The next month as we were
deciding what to make as a group for craft night I realized I had hardly any
decorations for the 4th of July. There were ideas galore on Pinterest
and something came over me. I’m not sure what it was but a craft fire I had
smoldered for so long burst into flames and I ignited with a desire to create.
Here are my creations so far
The banner is what we ended up making at our Craft night
