Home Is Where the Heart Is

It's not you! There's nothing you did or could have done better. You were fabulous, truly special and I can honestly say that I love you. Really it's all me. I guess you could say that I need something different. I'm moving on. Searching for the bigger and better from the world.
I know! I know! I'm really going to miss all the flowers, warm nights and not to mention how easy on the eyes you are. The friends I've made because of you... all top notch. That's why my leaving is so hard. I've cried and oh how I will miss you. For a few moments there I thought I just might take you back; hang on to you forever! NO NO NO! I can't! They say change is good. It'll be better for both of us in the end. I don't know how another woman could love you more than I do. I mean, I know your darkest corners, all your secrets and imperfections. I know your greatest achievements and strengths. You will make new memories; we both will. I will miss you my friend. Like a first boyfriend or lover you will always be in my thoughts or at the back of my mind.
They say home is where the heart is, and a piece of my heart will always, always belong to you.

I remember while our house was being built Kurt and I would sit in the living room around and gawk at the progress every few days. Imagining how our lives would play out in such a beautiful home. We truly made it our own with Kurt's carpentry skills and my "to do" lists. Our hard work paid off and we lived comfortably, happily and peacefully here. Some of my most precious memories.
The journey continues and I'm sure this adventure won't disappoint...my life has been forever shaped from the time I lived in Colony Pointe.

One of my most favorite "rooms" of the house. The Hummingbird Room

Oh Des, you made me cry a little. That was so sweet, and beautifully expressed.
