Thursday November 8th I found out Kurt's grandma had passed away peacefully. What a wonderful woman to know and love. I felt a connection to her and loved hearing her call me her "Daisy Girl." We both loved daisies and I happen to choose those for my flowers at my wedding. Well after a few tears of goodbye to myself at work I got busy with a big meeting we would be hosting for all the Parks and Rec Coordinators in the area.
Just after the meeting I received a call from my RFC Dan. When I see his name on my caller ID I no longer flip-out and hyperventilate. I guess we've talked enough that now I just don't get my hopes up until I know he's got an option I can even consider. Well hyperventilating is probably an understatement when I realized a little 3 yr old boy was on his way to my house. Pretty crazy swing of emotions for the day I'd say.
I left work early and headed home to get the room and house ready for our visitor. I waited by the office window for almost an hour watching for the case worker to pull up with him.
Introducing Braylon:
Braylon loves books! I'm so grateful for the books given to us to help our stash and for the library!!
Friday Grandma Bushman was nice enough to give this guy a much needed hair cut
Kurt is so good with Braylon
Braylon will eat ANY thing. He's such a great eater. I thought my menu would have to change but he'll eat peppers like carrots.
He really is a handsome kid when he gets dressed up. This is him all ready for Grandma Doris' funeral

We're excited to learn from Mr. Braylon too. We don't know how long we get to have him with us and we can't tell you all the details of why he's in foster care but we're glad a good little boy was placed with us. Prayers are always answered.
